Sepha to demo Leak Test Innovations at CPHI & P-MEC 2022 Sepha to demo Leak Test Innovations at CPHI & P-MEC 2022

Sepha will be demonstrating its latest leak test innovations for the pharmaceutical industry at CPHI & P-MEC 2022, that will be held in the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, Delhi from 29th November – 1st December 2022. The Sepha VisionScan 3D and Multi-Q HD will be available for live demonstrations on the stand of its agent Parle in Hall 9, location 9.A42.

Non-destructive Leak Testing of Blister Packs

The VisionScan 3D is a non-destructive and deterministic leak test solution that can identify defects in blister packs as low as 5µm. It is a reliable and cost saving alternative to methylene blue dye testing as the packs are not affected by the test method. Packs that pass can be returned to the production line. The machine is built around a new 3D measurement technique and utilises the principle of vacuum deflection according to ASTM standard test method F3169-16. The new technology can be applied to all foil types, matt or gloss. Different text patterns can be tested with one test method, making it ideal for production lines with multiple language print variations. The VisionScan 3D also provides deterministic pass/fail results for individual blister pockets in line with USP 1207 guidelines.

Container Closure Integrity Testing

The Multi-Q HD is a non-destructive, deterministic and reliable Container Closure Integrity (CCI) test system. Utilising the vacuum decay standard test method (ASTM F2338-09), the new Multi-Q HD takes integrity testing to the next level, enabling ultra-sensitive detection of defects in pharmaceutical containers down to 1μm (dependent on container type and content). The standalone, lab-scale leak test system can be used in combination with interchangeable attachments to fit the full range of parenteral container types available on the market today. These include glass or plastic vials, ampoules, pre-filled syringes, bottles and BFS (Blow Fill Seal) containers. Its compact, bench-top design means it can be used in the lab during drug development or for in-process batch testing to verify the integrity of containers being manufactured on the production line.
