Sepha to Showcase Latest PakScan Model at PACK EXPO 2026

Sepha will showcase its latest PakScan model at PACK EXPO 2026, taking place in Chicago, Illinois, from 18–21 October 2026.

Visitors can find Sepha at Booth W-24060, where the team will demonstrate the PakScan alongside its portfolio of pharmaceutical package integrity testing, blister packaging and deblistering solutions, including the VisionScan 3D, Multi-Q, EZ Blister+ and PressOut Universal Mini.

Latest PakScan Model for Flexible Packaging

A key highlight at the show will be the latest PakScan model, Sepha’s redesigned seal integrity testing system for non-porous flexible packaging and semi-rigid trays with non-porous lidding.

Developed in response to growing demand for greater flexibility in package integrity testing, the latest PakScan introduces configurable 1, 2, 3 and 6-up test layouts, allowing manufacturers to test pouches, sachets, stick packs, bags and semi-rigid trays on a single system. This reduces the need for dedicated test equipment across different packaging formats while simplifying product changeovers.

Using deterministic force decay technology, the PakScan delivers objective, non-destructive seal integrity testing with clear pass/fail results, helping manufacturers improve quality assurance across a wide range of flexible packaging applications.

Non-Destructive Package Integrity Testing for Pharmaceutical Packaging

Sepha will also showcase two established solutions for deterministic, non-destructive package integrity testing across pharmaceutical packaging formats.

• The VisionScan 3D is designed for blister pack integrity testing, using Vacuum Deflection Technology and high-resolution 3D imaging to identify leaks and seal defects in individual blister pockets without damaging the product or packaging. The system helps manufacturers reduce waste while providing objective, repeatable results in accordance with ASTM F3169-16(2024).

• The Multi-Q is a multifunctional Container Closure Integrity Testing (CCIT) system for pharmaceutical containers including vials, bottles, ampoules and other parenteral formats. Using vacuum decay and pressure decay technologies, the Multi-Q provides accurate, repeatable CCIT with clear pass/fail results to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance. The system supports deterministic leak testing in accordance with ASTM F2338-24, the latest standard for non-destructive package integrity testing and USP <1207>.

Flexible Blister Packaging for Small Batches

For manufacturers looking for flexible blister packaging at small scale, Sepha will present the EZ Blister+.

• The EZ Blister+ is a 3-in-1 bench-top blister packaging system for low-volume production, clinical trials, stability testing and R&D. Combining thermoforming, cold forming, sealing and cutting / perforating in one compact system, it offers a practical solution for producing high-quality blister packs without the need for fully automated packaging lines.

Compact Deblistering for Product Recovery

Completing the line-up is the PressOut Universal Mini, Sepha’s compact automated deblistering system for low-volume product recovery.

• Designed to recover tablets and capsules from a wide range of blister pack formats, the PressOut Universal Mini helps manufacturers reduce waste, recover valuable product and improve efficiency when handling rejected or returned blister packs.
