Container Closure Integrity Testing Seminar 2025
On 21 March 2025, Sithiporn Associates, in partnership with Sepha, hosted its first-ever seminar focused on Container Closure Integrity Testing (CCIT). Held at the Grand Richmond Hotel in Bangkok, this full-day event brought together industry professionals to discuss the importance of CCIT in ensuring pharmaceutical product safety and quality.

Understanding CCIT and Modern Detection Methods

The seminar was divided into three main sections, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of CCIT principles, testing methodologies, and hands-on interaction with Sepha’s leading range of non-destructive solutions.

The event opened with an introduction to the importance of CCIT in pharmaceutical packaging, emphasising its role in preventing contamination and maintaining product integrity. Attendees were then guided through various testing methods, including deterministic approaches outlined in USP <1207>, which provide more reliable alternatives to traditional techniques like blue dye and bubble emission testing.

A key highlight was the hands-on demonstration of Sepha’s CCIT technologies. Participants had the opportunity to operate the Multi-Q, VisionScan 3D, and PakScan, gaining firsthand experience with their ease of use, accuracy and innovative features.

Building Awareness for Reliable Leak Detection Solutions

The seminar aimed to educate participants on current best practices in CCIT and introduce Sepha’s innovative technologies. It highlighted the advantages of non-destructive, deterministic testing over conventional methods, while reinforcing Sithiporn Associates’ position as Sepha’s exclusive distributor in Thailand.

The collaborative approach created an engaging and memorable learning experience, leaving many attendees with a renewed appreciation for CCIT and its role in protecting patient safety.

Kheng Guan WEE, Commercial Leader APAC at Sepha, commented: “This seminar highlights the importance of collaboration and practical engagement within the pharmaceutical industry. Educating attendees on CCIT and showcasing the capabilities of these technologies has been a rewarding experience for all.”
