Paul Smith

Managing Director

An Executive MBA graduate from Trinity College Dublin and a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate from University of Ulster, Paul Smith has held commercial and management positions in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries for the last 17 years.

He joined Sepha in 2006 and has worked within different departments including Engineering, Service, Sales & Marketing and currently has a particular focus on company purpose and strategy, commercial success, product management, R&D and aftersales.

He has spent extended periods working internationally including two years managing Sepha’s North American operations in Chicago, USA and managing projects in Asia, Latin America and Europe.

Outside of Sepha you can find Paul on his motorbike, at the gym or spending time with his kids.

Philip Cooper

Head of Technology & New Product Development

With over 24 years of experience in pharmaceutical machinery, Philip Cooper is a recognized authority in the industry. He has a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, and as Head of Technology & New Product Development, leads a team of highly qualified engineers that develop innovative solutions, driven by a strong customer focus.

His expertise includes 13 years in the ASTM F02 Primary Barrier Packaging committee and a notable 9 years as Chairperson of the ASTM F2.40 Package Integrity Sub-Committee.

In his role at Sepha, Philip drives innovation and ensures that Sepha’s products meet the highest quality standards. His visionary leadership and deep industry knowledge continue to shape the future of pharmaceutical machinery.

Colin McLean

Head of Operations

Colin McLean, Head of Operations joined Sepha in 2009 and has 14+ years’ industry experience with over 6 years’ at Senior Management Level. He has overall responsibility for the operational activities at Sepha, including Engineering, Production, Technical Support, Supply Chain, Quality Compliance, Operational Excellence and Health & Safety .

Colin has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from the University of Ulster and has gained his Chartership (CEng) from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). He also has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and holds an ILM Level 5 in Leadership & Management.

Claire Miskelly

Head of Sales

Claire Miskelly, Head of Sales, has a BA(Hons) in Business with International Marketing & Finance from University of Central Lancashire. She has 20 years of sales experience working across the laboratory diagnostic market, selling fully automated and semi-automated instruments and reagents test kits specializing in the immunodiagnostic and molecular diagnostic segments

Claire joined Sepha in 2007 and gained extensive knowledge of the Life Science and Pharmaceutical industries as Sales Manager Asia, selling a range of machines catering to pharmaceutical production and R&D, including leak testing, deblistering and blister packing solutions. She has successfully collaborated with agents, distributors, OEMs, and direct customers, showcasing her proficiency in providing tailored solutions for varied business needs.

Eunan Donnelly

Financial Controller

Eunan Donnelly joined Sepha in 2022 with over 20 years’ experience working in Finance. Having studied Law and Accountancy at Queens University Belfast, he became a Chartered Accountant at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2004.

Eunan gained experience working for local SME’s in the Manufacturing Industry and has assumed senior finance roles in Companies that formed part of large Multinational Groups in more recent years.
